Who we are

We are a small, researcher-founded company established by PhD and postdoc researchers with over a decade of experience working in the U.K. Our mission is to make research more efficient and accessible for fellow scientists, drawing from our own understanding of the challenges and obstacles in academic and industrial settings.

Currently, we specialise in solar cell research but are eager to expand into other areas. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or collaboration ideas, we’re here to help!

What We Offer

  1. Affordable Research Chemicals and Consumables

    • High-quality conductive glass substrates with proven high efficiency.

    • Specialised chemicals for solar cell research, including SAMs, perovskite single crystals, and passivation materials, often unavailable through conventional suppliers.

    • Small-quantity packaging: No need to purchase a 10g pack if you only need 0.5g to test something new.

  2. Customised Items

    • Faster, more affordable solutions than local workshops.

    • Custom fabrication in various materials, including CNC-machined stainless steel or PTFE, 3D-printed Nylon, and glass components.

  3. Lab Equipment

    • Comprehensive tools for solar cell research: ozone cleaners, small spin coaters, uniform hot plates, testing chambers, and more.

    • Customisable features: Need drilled holes or optical fiber integration for in-situ monitoring? We’ve got you covered.

  4. Film/Device Characterisation

    • Fast access to material characterisation techniques, bypassing long wait times.

    • Available services include GIWAX, GISAX, UPS, KPFM, IPCE, TPV, TPC, SCLC, first-principles calculations, SEM, AFM, TEM, XPS, XRD, XRF, EDS, TOF-SIMS, Raman, PL, TRPL, and more.

  5. Technical Consulting

    • Expertise available for both technical and non-technical projects.

  6. Outreach Activities

    • Advocating for public engagement in science to inspire future generations.

    • Previous outreach includes participating in community festivals, teaching children to build solar-powered race cars, and more.
